Saturday, November 04, 2017 - Teen Driver Challenge

The Sheriff's Office, in partnership with the Florida Sheriffs Association, is offering a free Teen Driver Challenge course for Charlotte County teens to help hone their driving skills to help prevent traffic crashes.  Click here for more information on the course.

The next Teen Driving Challenge will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017

Location: Classroom Portion -> Charlotte County Sheriff's Office Training Facility (25500 Airport Rd., Punta Gorda, FL 33950) / Driving Portion -> Old Jones Loop Rest Area

Time:        8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


Lunch and refreshments will be provided for your student driver.

Saturday, November 04, 2017 - HR218 Qualification

Retired Law Enforcement Officers who would like to qualify through HR218 may do so at the Sheriff's Office Gun Range (25500 Airport Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950) by appointment.

You will need the following with you to qualify:

  • $50 (Cash or Check)
  • Retired Law Enforcement Identification
  • Current Drivers License
  • 40 Rounds of Ammunition for the gun(s) you will be qualifying with
  • Holster
