Sheriff's Message History
Our New Look
August 01, 2011
At the beginning of each year since I became your Sheriff, I have given the Sheriff's Office personnel a word for the year. The word for 2011 is “Quality.” Every member of the Sheriff's Office is working to provide the best quality services to the residents and guests of Charlotte County. And we want to continue to improve on the quality.
In keeping with that effort, I am proud to present to you a new look of our official website. We have worked the past couple of months to revise our website, giving it a fresh, new look and feel. Those of you who have visited our site before should notice a tremendous difference. With the new menus, quick links and roll-over tabs, our new site should be much easier to navigate to find what you are looking for.
One of the most frequently used sections of our public website is the arrest database search feature. We have enhanced the search capabilities by adding an “advanced” tab that will allow for searching on additional criteria.
We want you, the members of the community, to know how to contact us when you need to. So we have revised and updated our office locations listings and directories. Not only should they be easier to find within the site now under the “Contact Us” menu, they include photos of the offices and linked maps. The directory listings include phone numbers and email addresses, and, in most cases, you can see a photo of the person in charge of a particular section in “Our Organization” in the “About Us” menu.
And, by the way, we have done all of this ‘in-house' with our IT staff which has been a tremendous savings to the agency and the taxpayers.
Over the next few months we will be making more improvements and changes to our website. Our goal is to provide the Charlotte County community with up-to-date information from the Sheriff's Office so that we can work together even better to make Charlotte County a safe and secure place to live and work. Let us know what you think. You can email us at webmaster@ccso.org.
As always, thank you for your continued support of the Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Bill Cameron
